Behavior Styles

The DISC Platinum Rule Assessment determined that my predominated behavioral style is a Dominance style which is fast paced and goal focused. My behavioral style is also guarded and direct. The dominance styles are driven by two governing needs: the need to control and the need to achieve. This style exhibit firmness in their relationships with others, and is oriented toward productivity and goals, and is more concerned with bottom line results. The dominance style accepts challenges, take authority, and go head first into solving problems. Dominance style tends to exhibit great administrative and operative skills, and they work quickly and impressively by themselves. They tend to come on cool, independent, competitive with others, and especially in a business environment. Dominance styles try to shape their environment to overcome obstacles en route to their accomplishments. They demand freedom to manage themselves and others, and they use their leadership skills to become winners. Dominance styles get things done and make things happen; they also can juggle three things at once and feel comfortable with those three things. Dominance styles tendencies include: dislike being told what to do, or when or how to do something, being reluctant to change what you think or how you feel, delegating tasks only if necessary, acting competitively, especially when pushing yourself to new levels or in new directions, and making sure that production is completed on schedule.
Their primary strengths are their ability to get things done and their leadership and decision-making skills. Their weaknesses, they tend to be inflexibility, impatience, poor listening habits, and failure to take time to "smell the flowers," insensitive to others, may take you two seriously.
