Technology is amazing. It's also very useful. As useful and amazing as it is, it's also growing. There are all different kinds of technology. It can be used for good, or bad.

Take computers for example, they are good tools for learning, getting tasks done, and gaming. They can think incredibly fast, and can process multiple tasks efficiently. A teacher may use a computer to educate their class. A mechanic may use a computer to check for a problem in a car. Without that computer, the mechanic may not have been able to find the problem in a timely manner. A gamer like my self may utilize a computer with excellent specifications to play games on. We can communicate with people from around the world through e-mail, instant messenger programs, and through online games, which allow us to interact with one another. New technology makes it possible for a surgeon to operate a machine remotely from the other side of the globe to perform an operation without having to travel.

Computers may also be used for governmental purposes. The government might equip a car with a computerized tracking device incase it gets stolen. Most new police cars are equipped with onboard computers so that they can check a person's background before they arrest them. The government can also use computers in conjunction with satellites to spy on people, tap their phone lines, and invade their privacy. This invasion of privacy can come in handy however, when used to monitor a call between terrorists so that they can be stopped from carrying out a disastrous plan.

In conclusion, technology is a powerful concept that should be used wisely. Much of the time it is. However, much of the time it ends up in the wrong hands, and bad things happen. For example, terrorists are able to make nuclear weapons that can wipe out an entire city. That same kind of technology
