Individual Project 4

It is my belief that Carly did not come to me sooner because when things started to get behind she thought that she could handle the situation, but when that backfired in her face she needed some kind of excuse to why the project was even farther behind now. And it seems she has come up with a story to hide or make me feel that the project delay is not her fault, so she is going to start an ordeal concerning other team members that have been doing their job, while Carly has been more worried about how she is going to get out from under the eyeglass for her project being behind.

I do not think Carly approached Morris because she knew that he was not the problem and that she was, and she most likely though if I start any type of confrontation with Morris it will bring attention to the real fact on why the project is behind. People that are doing something wrong and don't want to be notices will go and blame a problem on someone else in hoping that the person above will take that as the problem to the situation. Now, if a person goes and confronts someone with false allegations' the other person will more than likely go to management and ask why he/she is being asked such off the wall questions form their team leader. So it is better for a person that is the problem to go and say that it is something else that is causing the hiccups in hopes it will be an valid excuse, instead of going to management and giving the real story behind the problem, but that too could cost someone's job. And I don't think Morris new about any of the problems Carly was saying she is having with Morris.

The problem with way the team interacts is, they don't. If a project manager has to go to her supervisor complaining about a project being behind on schedule due to one persons acts there is defiantly a communication barrier that needs to be broken. They as a team should be able to pull their heads together and figure out what the problem is and fix it. The team should set a meeting up and go through what the problem is, and if it is an individual that is causing the project to get behind on schedule the lead of the team needs to remedy the problem and restore moral so that the team can get back on track and at least try to get the project out on time.
