Assumptions held by Kelly: Can't maintain existing service with new product launch, new product isn't the way to go, not enough in the budget, not enough time to get all of the features up and running by August.

Assumptions held by Pat: Software modifications can be implemented in the allotted time frame, competitors will overtake if new product is not released soon, long term ROI will make up for short term cost increase, certain people in the company are not willing to put forth their best effort, customer will be happy with buggy product at least for a short period of time, new product will save the company.

Assumptions held by Cliff: New product will save company, departments will be able to reduce budgets by 15%.

Assumptions held by Chris: Everyone will work together to get this project done, timeline is feasible.

Argument by Cliff: His argument seems to be that this new product is necessary to save the company. With the budget cuts it will be difficult to deploy the new product, but it is feasible given the amount of time and money available.

Argument by Pat: Pat also thinks that the new product will save the company. She is willing to do whatever is necessary to get the product to launch when promised, including outsourcing some of the work. She sees Kelly as a roadblock because he does not share her enthusiasm for the new product.

Argument by Kelly: Kelly does not think that the new product will save the company. His concern is maintaining the current level of support for the product that is already out there. There is not enough time or money to get this project off the ground by August.
