The human service organization will include public outreach and education that will involve a large variety of community organizations, so that they will be able to collect enough information for implementation of the organizations plans. The organization is committed to providing services regardless of economic or social status, and will not discriminate against anyone based on race, color, ethnic background religion, political belief, sex or sexual orientation. Every participant in the program will be given the opportunity to succeed to the best of his or her ability.

The executive director will want to keep and open mind for new and creative ways of achieving the goals of the human service orgainzat6ion. These goals would be to help individuals who have dropped out of high school for one reason or another, to obtain the needed skills to be a productive member of the community. The goal of the executive director will be to see that the vocational and training services will be modernized so that students leaving these classes will be more able to find suitable work.

Organizational structure is very important if the human service organization is going to succeed. Keeping all employees's involved in the organizations plans will help the organization grow with new ideas. It is important to keep the flow of communication between management and employee open. This is one place that consultations between management and employee is essential. Knowing how employees are performing at certain tasks will be something that management needs to keep a close eye on. If the employee is not performing the task set for them to do, management needs to step in and see why this is going on. It could be something simple that talking to the employee would solve or sometimes more serious that the employee may need to be replaced.

Regular consultations with employees will also let the employee know they may come to you with questions concerning their job. One wants to keep the line of communication open. Knowing a little bit about one's employees is also something a good manager needs to know. Having the knowledge of what is going on with the employee's personally can also help to curb any unwanted behavior. Everyone has bad days, however if an employee is coming to work sad and depressed this will change the environment of the whole organization. The employee may have a personal situation at home that is interrupting their work. As a manger one can take this employee off to the side and talk with them. The employee may need time off to take care of a loved one or they may just need to get something off their chest. Being able to talk with one's employees will show that one as a manager wants to make sure the employee is content with their job. As a manager however one does not want to become overly friendly with employees. The employee needs to know that they may talk with the manager without feeling uncomfortable. The manager needs to have the respect of the employees. The employees also need to know that they are respected. There is a fine line that one must be careful not to cross and become to friendly while at the same time be open to one's employees. It is good to keep the work environment a pleasurable place to work. An employee who is happy in their job and the tasks they are set to do, is going to be a more productive employee.

I believe that as a manager of the organization, one should be able to fill in where needed. This can be accomplished by knowing the job description of each employee. Keep in contact with each employee and know what they are working on or how they plan to accomplish a certain task. One never knows what is going to happen from day to day. If an employee would not be able to complete the task because they are unable to be at work the manger know what is going on and how the employee was going to handle the situation. The manager is then able to either take over the task or assign it to another employee to see that task to completion.

Because one's organization is working to help provide job skills to high school dropouts, having a complete history of the client one is working with is vital. There are always reasons for a child to drop out of school, knowing these reasons will help one be able to help the client better.
