Textbooks on tablets cost on average 50-60% less than print textbooks which can save the school a ton of money. A study done in 2012 by the FCC shows that K-12 school districts spend more than $8 billion per year on textbooks. Textbooks on tablets can save schools between $300-$900 per student per year and prices of tablets continue to drop which is making them more affordable. Studies have also shown, students who used tablets to study scored 20 percent higher on tests and quizzes as oppose to some who studied with a textbook.

In addition, tablets can be used for other things too, not just textbooks. Tablets contain many unique features that cannot be found in print textbooks.
