When becoming an athlete, you must be ready to enter a world filled with sacrifices, a life of hard work, and most importantly, an attitude aimed for perfection. Athletes follow a strict schedule; whether it is concerning the right foods needed to consume or the necessary amount of rest required in order to be able to recuperate as quickly as possible. By numbering your priorities and recording your plans in a personal agenda, you will discover your time to be easier to organize.

At the meeting, it was insisted that we should keep an agenda to jot down the amount of appointments we have, the number of soccer practices to attend, and nevertheless, the amount of school work needed to be completed. Having this agenda is a great tool because it allows you to take into consideration the right amount of time you need before and after each soccer session.

Athletes are busy individuals, and therefore tend to have a lot on their plates. Sometimes, depending on their priorities, one's social life tends to be ignored. This is why athletes must be very disciplined and organized. Everything that they do must be done to perfection. When it is time for school or time to play soccer, they should only be focused on one or the other; not both at the same time. Therefore, the same mentality should be applied when an athlete is given free time. It is important to fully enjoy this time, because in an athlete's life, it doesn't come very often.

They say that your worst opponent is yourself. If an athlete were to come down too hard on himself, or set his objectives to high to obtain, it would most probably backfire and disinterest him. On the other hand, if he were to lower his objectives, he would never develop nor grow as a player. Therefore, the real question is: how much should really be expected from ourselves?
