Dear Indian Parliament,

For too long have the rules and legal formalities for adopting a pet, have been too lenient. Adopting a pet is a major life decision just like adopting a child, and therefore should be treated the same. Too often have we seen abandoned pets, mistreated pets or pets who are just not loved. Now the parents who never wanted this living being are forced to take care of it or sometimes even abandon it. Something which is seen too commonly in Indian society. Abandoning a pet who has never known how to survive on the street is sick and inhumane. It is something that can at least be reduced if not abolished if the government enforced more laws and increased legal formalities.
