In the article "Dropping classes common at De Anza," Nadia Banchik points out that dropping classes has become a major problem at De Anza, and it is caused by many reasons. According to La Voz, more than half of De Anza students have dropped at least one class, and they all have their own reasons when dropping. There are many causes in dropping class like financial problems, time management, transportation, health issues, work responsibilities, and, so on. Dropping class may give serious consequences to students, and they may not realize yet. However, in my opinion, I think dropping classes is not a serious matter how for every student here at De Anza because we are all adult and have to take responsibilities for our educational plan or more than that, our future.

According to the survey, work responsibilities are the most common factor in dropping. Many students have to work while they are in college, and it can be important. Even though students need the job to pay the expenses, we should always think our education is the first priority, so we have to consider carefully before dropping a class. For example, I am a student who have a job, but I just work in my spare time on the weekend. Before taking classes, I have to make sure I have time for both my classes and my work. In my thought, students who claim dropping classes in work responsibilities just show their lack of preparation and irresponsibility, or they may already have the job that is good enough to their life.

Dropping classes give students serious consequences to their educational plan, especially in transferring, but many students do not think about it when they decided to drop. A large number of students think dropping is a easy way to go out of their bad condition in the class while they can still try to get better results.
