Since the late 1800’s the worlds public has been interested in automobiles and once they possessed and drove their own they became members of a widespread group of people with one common interest: to get where they’re going. Undoubtedly everyone who’s driven a car falls into this society. This society like others has many focuses, ideals, and guidelines. Although the members might not interact through personal conversation, their agreement in actions enables them to fulfill the unanimous desire of the assembly and complete a good trip. The vast assortment of members, vehicles, and geographic differences has permitted the growth of this multicultural society of drivers around the world.

Rules: This group is huge and by no means with out rules, whether its members choose to abide or not is up to them. These rules are set forth to make sure that all group members don’t hurt or injure other group members or even in some instances those outside of the group. Rules also change from place to place across the planet, which is to be understood; different country, different language, different laws. In the United States, cars drive on the right hand side of the road, yield on left hand turns, go on green and stop on red. In other countries the rules are different, some countries drive on the left hand side of the road, some don’t have set speed limits on their roadways, some actually reserve the inside lane of the highway for faster moving traffic; imagine that. Congruently, any where you go driving is a privilege not a right. To be able to drive a car on the road the rules are learned, a test is taken and license is issued if the test is passed. Whether or not these rules are absorbed and followed comes down the decision of the driver as well as enforcement by the police. Hopefully the latter does not come into play as much as the judgment of the driver. But also at times this might in fact be worse.

Drivers: Not all drivers are created equal. It doesn’t take much for the rest of the group to identify another driver simple by the way they drive. Actions speak louder than words on the roads and what is more action packed than driving today? It’s sometimes exceptionally easy to identify drivers, even from the rear. Take an elderly driver for instance; they might take more caution towards their driving as well as the driving of others. This in turn does not mean that they are better drivers; sometimes it causes them to become even more of a hazard on the roadway due to traveling slower than rest the of the flow of traffic or perhaps coming to a complete stop to leave the road way and enter the Piccadilly’s parking lot. Other drivers shouldn’t hate them for it but rather love and embrace their ability to have survived this harsh planet so long. Other drivers might express their attitude on the road by driving aggressively, or perhaps not allowing another fellow driver to get into the same lane as them or make a turn. These drivers tend to not be very popular on the road with other drivers. Then there are the thrill seekers of the road. They push their vehicles to the limit. These are the ones that needed to be watched out for the most. They can be seen driving fast, taking turns fast, and stopping fast. Generally characterized as male drivers aged sixteen to about fifty
