How to Make Fruit Smoothie

Everyone loves a good raspberry smoothie. Not only are they yummy, but they're fun to make as well! The ingredients are inexpensive and easy to get hold of. They don't take a lot of time or a lot of washing either! Smoothies are healthy and nutritious and full of vitamins. You should eat at least two fruits per day to get all your vitamins, and if you're drinking a smoothie then it's not necessary for you to take vitamin pills to get them. Smoothies are yummy and they can be almost as filling as a whole meal if you have a lot of fruit in it. If you are trying to lose weight and you are being pressured into eating, have a smoothie. You're basically eating fruit, milk and yoghurt at the same time.

The first step is gathering all the ingredients. The ingredients are not hard to find, just look in your fridge or in your local supermarket. First you will need to pick the freshest raspberries available. They should be pinkish red and they shouldn't be soft, because then they're not fresh. You could also mix it up with other berries. For example if you want a thick filling smoothie you should put bananas or apples in your smoothie. However if you just want a smoothie to go with your dinner or breakfast, you can put oranges, pineapple or dragon fruit in it. Those fruits will make it more like a drink. You will need 250 grams of these raspberries. Next ingredient needed is 150mL of skimmed milk. If you use full creamed in the blender it will get thicker. The last thing you need is 250mL of plain yoghurt. If you don't have plain yogurt you could use vanilla yogurt or strawberry yogurt, since it has fruit in it too. You will also need about 8 ice cubes but you probably already have them at home. You can freeze your raspberries before hand; this keeps them fresh and makes the smoothie thicker. Before starting you should always wash your raspberries or whatever fruit you are using. If your raspberries come with tops, cut them off after washing. Freezing them usually takes a few hours to a day, so if you freeze the berries one day you probably wouldn't start till the next day.

When you are ready to make the smoothie, have a clean blender ready. Be careful when cleaning out the blender, the blades are sharp and arranged in a strange way. The first step is to pour 250mL of skimmed milk into the blender. Make sure that the milk is fresh. You don't want to be drinking a sour smoothie. The same goes for the yoghurt. The milk should always be first to be put into the blender, or else the other ingredients will stick to the blades of the blender making it harder to clean and the blades are a hazard. After adding the milk, add the yogurt to the milk in the blender. While pouring, be sure to add it in slowly, or spoon it in because if you just let it drop in, the milk will splash all over the place. After that, take the raspberries out of the freezer and slowly add them into the blender a few at a time. Remember
