Mental illnesses are the most debilitating disease. Most people do not know what mental illnesses are. A mental illness is defined as a wide range of mental health conditions such as disorders that affect someone's mood, thinking, and behavior. There are many mental illnesses such as addiction that are over looked. People do not consider mental illnesses to be a disability because they are not physically seen, victims act normal one minute and not the other, and people do not understand what they are and how they affect sufferers.

Mental illnesses are a wide range of mental health conditions such as disorders that affect someone's mood, thinking, and disorders. There are several types of mental illnesses such as: night terrors sleep walking, post-traumatic dreams, REM sleep behavior disorder, bipolar, depression, OCD, eating disorders, hoarding, personality disorders, psychosis, schizoaffective disorder, schizophrenia. The most notorious mental diseases are psychosis and schizophrenia. Schizophrenia is a disorder that contains the symptoms that create false beliefs, unclear or confused thinking, hearing voices, reduced social engagement and emotional expression, and a lack of motivation (description of mental illnesses 1). Psychosis is a disorder that discomposes the thought and emotions become so impaired that contact is lost with external reality (description of mental illnesses 1). Mental health can cover a range of disorders but most common affect is personality, thought process or social interactions (mental health symptoms 1). Mental illnesses are overlooked because they are not seen physically, and are not understood.

There are several ways psychological disorders can develop. Wars and any type of traumatic event can cause psychological disorders. The disorders caused form these events are usually because a certain event that causes you brain shock and it fails to return to normal. Mental illnesses affect how people act around others or themselves. The thinking process is also becomes bewildered. The best thing to consider is to contact a support group for family, friends

of people with mental illnesses. Certain cases brought before the Supreme Court have been involved with certain psychological disorders. One case in particular is the Albertson Inc. Versus. Kirkingburg,
