The Magical Ride

On a hot summer day, while walking down the boring mall, a funny looking ogre was in a picture. Entering the movie knowing I was going to watch one of those childish movies was what was thought. Underestimating this movie caused a shock, for what was observed is a magical experience that caused me to crack up out of my seat. Shrek, with jaws wide open and two thumbs up surprises and astonishes its viewers with its new sense of hilarious comedy, flawless but yet realistic animation, and it superior characterization of both the Ogre, Shrek, and the ogress, princess Fiona.

"I'm going to save my ass!" one of the best phrases in the movie that illustrate the new taste of comedy that Dream works is supplying its viewers with. One would assume that Shrek is saving himself from the fire blasting dragon, unfortunately he's not, and that's where the minds of the readers alternate, the viewers find out that Shrek is after the irritating, annoying but hilarious donkey, Eddy Murphy. Throughout Shrek, comical dialogue increases as the movie saturates with action, causing viewers to jump from their seats with laughter. Donkey's famous phrase, I've got a dragon here, and I'm not afraid to use it! , that's about the time when donkey fixes things up with the dragon and they become lovers.

Comedy is just a stick that's about to become a pair with the phenomenal animation that created the motion picture. The all in one animation used in the movie, Shrek, is glorious, to have the computer generated complex humans with the ability to express both dialogue and emotion through a complex animation system, is just perfection. Using the "shaper" program, allowed PDI to have thirty one sequences, 1291 individual screen shots, sixty three characters, and thirty six locations, is just a wonder for the film. Shrek has proved to be a leader for its reality, because, allowing the ability to have a rich organic environment, that not only involves the full body movement of the characters, but the movement of the clothes, the skin, eyes, mouth, and eyebrows is just miraculous. One scene that tended to include the best of the best animation is the fight where Princess Fiona, replicates "The Matrix" the air legs flex hit done to both soldiers.

The animation and the comedy are just two stands for the perfect movie that has been performed, for the tripod to be complete, the third and most vital source is the characterization of the characters. Spontaneously in the eyes of a child, an Ogre is an animal that is avoided due to his nomadic actions. On the contrary, DreamWorks tends to alternate that whole prospective in the child's mind, via focusing on the saying, "Don't judge a book by its cover". Dream
