According to the film, “Bowling for Columbine’, Michael Moore, a 46-year-old American filmmaker goes into the North Country Bank in Michigan, USA to open up a bank account and he eventually gets a free gun after doing some background check.

One of the sad reality of today’s world is that racism is also a major cause for gun violence. The first reaction of people is to pull the trigger to fight the fear of racism. As shown in “Bowling for Columbine”, a TV show called “COPS” was shown in the film that represents racism

Unfortunately, videogames can also act as a stepping stone for people to commit more serious form of gun violence. Violent videogames have becoming more and more realistic which makes people’s interest in guns grows. According to the article “Videogame Killing Child’s Play”, a man who played violent arcade games for many years walked into a church in the United States with a glock 18 gun and killed twelve people. This proves that videogames helps people to become a self-taught marksman in real life and commit terrible acts of

violence.

Additionally, an article called “Lanza’s descent into madness and murder”, a 20-year-old boy named Adam Lanza entered Sandy Hook Elementary School in Newtown, Connecticut and shot six adults and twenty children. The cause for this horrific massacre was the fact that Adam was a gun enthusiast. He used his mother’s gun for the school shooting since they had four guns in their house.
