Randolph was a boy who liked to play basketball. One day when he was out side playing basketball by his self, a car with a drunken driver in it hit him and his leg had to be amputated. All he wanted to be able to do was to play basketball. His childhood dream was to become and NBA player and this drunken driver ruined his life. Now Randolph feels like he has no point in living and then he met this kid name Jerry in therapy that introduced him to Wheelchair Basketball and he tried that out. He became really good because he practiced everyday. And during therapy he played with the other wheel chair kids. They taught him all the basics and he had to get used to not using his legs when he shot. He also had to adjust to the height adjustment. He was used to shooting closer to the ground and he had to get used to being close to the ground. He lifted weights a lot to build his arm muscles so he could shoot from farther distances. His parents made him able to practice 5 hours a day, that was working out, shooting, and doing whatever he could do to get better. When he was around the age of 19, he was played in the olympics and he tried to make Wheelchair Basketball a professional sport like the NBA and WNBA and it went to the congress and the law got passed and it became a professional sport. It was called WCNBA and a lot of people joined. They didn't get paid much but that didn't matter to them. It brought all the handicap people together, males and females. They had a total of 18 teams and they were all over the country. They had custom gyms and it was broadcasted Nationally. He grew up and lived up to his dream. And that's all he wanted. He made a huge impact in a lot of people's lives.
