Issue Proposal.

God has sent many prophets throughout time; remarkable people that had shown special gifts of divination, premonition, interpretation of dreams or fortune telling... And mostly all religions and believes, starting from Judaism, through the Greeks and Romans' oracles, till Christianity and Islam... were based, or still, on prophets predictions.

Claims of prophecy continued through history and have occurred in many regions around the world. One of greater note is that of Nostradamus who lived in France at the turn of the 16th century. Many considered him as a devil worshipper, other were amazed by the accuracy of his predictions, but again many considered his prophecies as a simple coincidence or moreover as an intelligent way of analyzing facts.

Living in a century where everything must be proven and calculated, where faith and higher believes are just a simple imagination, should Nostradamus' prophecies be taken as a serious considerable fact? Could predictions declared by a man who lived 500 years ago, and may be actually happening be a just a clairvoyance?

Because many has claimed that God has spoken to them and has shown them visions of the unknown, logic tells us not take those people seriously. But I as a person who believe in greater power than our human intelligence, was amazed by the accuracy of this mans prediction of facts. What he wrote in his "astrologic centuries" 500 years ago are nowadays becoming facts.

Nostradamus enthusiasts have credited him with predicting copious numbers of events in world history, including the French revolution, the atom bomb, the rise of Adolf Hitler and the September 11 attacks on the World Trade center. Detractors, however, see such predictions as examples of "vaticinium", retroactive clairvoyance and selective thinking, which find non-existent patterns in ambiguous statements.
