As president of the United States, I have certain views and beliefs about the removal of Native Americans and the National Bank. The Indian Removal Act that was passed specified that any Native American was to move west. However, not all of us agree having the Native Americans move away for the reason that they see the removal of Indians as a brutal and cruel action. Our customs are differently than the ones Native Americans have and it will be harsh for them to stay in a place where most of the people see them from another perspective. Perhaps if Indians move out of their territory, they would be able to follow their beliefs in another place but also they would be saved from the depredations of Americans.

From my point of view, I see Native Americans capable of incorporating into our culture yet most of the population wishes the territory that Indians occupy. Since there is a hold of racist attitudes towards Native Americans, there is no way for us to live peacefully with them. I feel that for now the only solution there is to avoid more conflicts if for Native Americans to move out of the path of Anglo settlement. If Indians are removed, I feel that by the time Americans get interested in the Indian Territory again, Native Americans would already be adapted and differences between us would be avoided.

The Choctaw and Chickasaws tribes have agreed to move beyond the Mississippi river. They signed the treaty which it stated that the federal government would provide them with appropriate western land and protect them until they moved out. The tribes have preferred to maintain their customs and independence in the Western forests instead of accepting the laws of the States in which they are now included. In the other hand, the Creeks had refused to emigrate but they accepted to sign a treaty which opened a large section of their Alabama land to any white settlement. Eventually the Creeks migrated west for the reason that they began stealing livestock
