Reading the article How Children Learn is an exciting experience for me.IN this article author Vosniadou. S stated how a teacher should teach in a classroom and how a teacher should create positive classroom environment. He mentioned that a teachers need to make their student to be an active learners. The use of information and communication technology to support learning is a very important tool for teaching now a day. Teachers must help student become active and goal oriented by building on their natural desire to explore, to understand new things and to master them. Students should also take control of their learning process. Social participation is another important aspect of learning. Social collaboration can also boost students` achievement. Vygotsky mentioned that social collaboration is very important part of learning. In that article Vosniadou mentioned that cultural diversity also helps students to learn different things from peers. I noticed this is very important perspective for urban teaching in New York City. Students come from different diversified background in NYC and students are learning different things from each other. I can connect to this when I teach as a sub teacher in public schools and students are making interesting design and crafts for Chinese New Year. They are sharing socio cultural content and are learning from peers. I wonder it can be a very interesting tool for a social studies teacher in elementary and middle schools. Students can learn about different cultures.

According to Piaget`s Theory a child`s cognitive learning process is independent of languages. Development schemes are independent requiring little guidance. I noticed that the way my daughter Sreyoshi learned Bengali, she learned the Bengali vocabulary which is very hard for her age. I connect this to cognitive learning how my daughter learned Bengali languages from me and our close relatives, I used to read Bengali books for her and before learning language properly she can say hard Bengali word from the song I used to teach for her. I observed her preoperational stage how she developed her logical thinking process about ethics and science. I connect this Piaget`s theory of her development from sensory motor stages to concrete operational stage.

I also noticed Piaget Cognitive learning theory while teaching in middle schools specially teaching Math and science its very interesting teaching in sixth grade  they are getting more conscious about the identity their gender and also from they are learning. I wonder this processing logical thinking and critical thinking is very important for teaching in 7-12 grade science and math. Helping students learn to transfer another important aspect from the article if cannot connect our theory with practice we cannot implement our knowledge. While teaching in middle school I have to design my content in such a way that they can relate the topic with their day to day life for example I am teaching about microbiology and will show them bacteria from curd or fungus from potato .I wonder this theory for adolescent is also very important Piaget`s formal operations in this stages they are processing information and applying it with their environment they thinking rationally and logically. One of my students named Stella She become more conscious about identity in sixth Grade her thinking process is getting more logical I observed in this age and she sudden was talking like an adult and was thinking about the politics and the cultural context of the society.

Vosniadou. S also mentioned that for teacher relating new information to prior knowledge is very important. I can relate this idea with Vygotsky`s Zone of Proximal Development. Learning is enhanced while teachers are paying close attention to the prior knowledge of the learner and use this knowledge as the starting point for instruction. Instruction helps students to maintain particular steps for specific subjects. I noticed that this idea is similar while I am teaching biology in a lab environment and giving them to follow the experiment .I can connect with this with Vygotsky`s learning and scaffolding technique about step  by step  teaching procedure, which is very effective for scientific experiment especially for physics, biology and chemistry teaching. For example, I am giving instruction for conduct one experiment for detect gram staining bacteria. They are observing the bacteria under the microscope and then draw the diagram, after that they will write the procedure of the experiment what they observed and draw the diagram of the bacteria. I wonder this idea is very important for me in future I will do the different biology experiment for m+y students. This process is one kind of scaffolding.
