Anna Pavlova’s 8-year-old young, frail body went out to the stage for her audition. She was shaking with fear of her newest dreams being crushed by the foot of the teachers at the Imperial Ballet School. As she danced her young little heart out across the stage, the instructors stared at her intensely. A while went by and she was sad to find out that she did not get into the school for dance. Pavlova was disappointed but not discouraged. She knew she would keep on trying and she would one day succeed and from that moment on, that would be her life long goal. She was eventually able to reach her life long goal by using life skills. Anna Pavlova was one of the best dancers to come into this industry.

Anna Pavlova did not have the best childhood. She was born on February 12, 1881, two months earlier than she should have been. Her mom was poor and did not have very much. One day her mother gathered up enough cash to take her to the ballet; it was Sleeping Beauty. That is when she decided that it would be her life long goal to become a ballerina. People told her that she could never make it as a ballerina because she was too thin, frail, and weak. Although these comments could really hurt someone, she did not let them get to her, actually they only made her want it more just so she could prove them wrong. When she tried to get into the Imperial School of Ballet at age eight she didn’t make it. She went back after two more year of practice and at age ten she got in. From there on her success would only grow.

Anna Pavlova did so much for the art of ballet. She brought more grace, skill, and drive than anyone has ever even attempted to reach. Her love for dance got people attention and made them not only want to see her, but feel the need to see her perform. Just by her looks many people thought she would not make it in this industry, but she proved them all wrong. She is one of the youngest most skilled ballerinas. She was in over hundreds of shows. She is also the youngest girl in the history of ballet to reach the title Prima Ballerina (the highest level in ballet).
