DREAMS

In my opinion Dreams are the biggest mystery in the world because no one, even psychologists, know the real reason about why dreams happen. There are only different opinions and theories about it, that's why the people don't know the importance and the functions of Dreams. Since I was a kid I always have been curious about Dreams because I always had weird and very vivid dreams that I can steel remember. Before I came to college I read in some books and I asked to some psychology teachers about the reason of dreams and it's function on the people and they never gave me a very precise and clear explanation about this. But now that I have been researching about Dreams for my Composition class I learned a lot of things and few good reasons of the functions of Dreams in our brain and in our lives. At the start of my research I was very confused about the Dreams information because the articles that I found were very hard to understand and in some way different from each other. Now I am very sure that Dreams can be very useful for the people and especially for the mental health.

When I had dreams before I only recall them or talk about them if it was very vivid or a very special one. Now I learned that recalling dreams are very good for so many things. That's why Freud invented the psychoanalysis and was so successful on it because it is very similar with recalling dreams but the only difference is that in the psychoanalysis you talk about your dream while you are asleep. In our consciousness we have a lot of thoughts, issues and problems that we don't know that we have it because they are very deep in our consciousness. This thoughts can only been seen in dreams because when we are sleeping our brain keep working but become very relax and al lot of

thoughts go out. That's why dreams are very important to psychology because is only there were you can identify your issues and even the solutions to these problems.

I never thought that dreams could also give you the solution of problems. This can happen because whey you are sleeping very deeply and you are in REM state; a lot of thoughts come to your mind. These thoughts come to your mind randomly to your brain, and dream are the one that give sense to these thoughts. This thoughts are sometimes the problems or issues that you have in your mind and when dreams are giving sense to this thoughts, they give sometimes the solutions of the problems or the "way-out".
