Animal Farm

What’s that? Animals are speaking? Animal Farm is a movie that is a symbol of Stalin’s power during the Russian Revolution. In the movie Old Major (Lenin) dies, and power is led by the other pigs (other leaders below Lenin), and eventually taken by Napoleon (Stalin). During Napoleon’s rule it goes through different events that actually took place during the revolution. All these events had to do with Economy, Government, Education, Art, Religion, or Violence.

In one point of the film the pigs take the milk and apples (money) to themselves because they say that if they want the people to be lead by smart leaders then they should drink the milk and apples to help them stay smarter and get even smarter over time. In real life Stalin took money just like the pigs took milk and apples.

Another point in the movie was when Napoleon took the windmill idea for himself and said Snowball was a traitor, making all the “brainwashed” dogs (children) chase him off in hiding, using violence just like in Stalin’s time, where he would execute anybody that endangered his power.

Oh boy, yet here is one more point. When the animals are all working really hard and they aren’t getting fed, it is like Stalin where he would just completely forget about them, and only think about himself, slowly killing the animals and losing their trust in him as a powerful leader, causing them to go into hiding for a while, until he died.

All of these points show how Stalin was a bad leader, and all the insecure things that he did when he was leading the Russian Revolution. All these things set badly against the economy, government, education, art, religion, and violence in the movie. Which kind of tells you; hey we have a bad leader. At first they saw the pigs as wonderful leaders, who would take them on for a wonderful life, but then
