Victor is the Victim or Villain?

        Victor Frankenstein can be seen as a villain. Victor abandoned his monster after creating him. He left him clueless didn’t have the audacity to tell him what to know about life and what it means to be alive. I personally feel that Victor should’ve been more considerate after he made his creature and what will the affects will be. The monster never asked to be created. Unfortunately for the monster if his creator would’ve taken care of him the right way, it wouldn’t have to experience the evil of mankind and not have to become a hostile being.

        In the novel, Victor had a lot of things going on. He had to deal with Elizabeth sickness. He also witnessed his mother dying from the sickness she got from Elizabeth. After going through all of that he had to move to Ingolstadt. While he’s there he gets ill literally because he is so obsessed with his studies. He is a victim of his own actions; he comes from a ruling family who loves him dearly.

        He who is Victor take matters into his own hands to create this creature which kind of seems self-centered. “A new species would bless me as its creator and source; many happy and excellent natures would owe their being to me. No father could claim the gratitude of his child so completely as I should deserve theirs.”  It seems to me Victor doesn’t want anything to do with what he created. He just leaves not even attempting to let the creature know the way of life. So the monster took it upon itself to learn how to communicate and live on its own.
