It was May 12 and the girls and I were planning a birthday dinner for our friend Sara, for her 17th birthday. We all agreed that Sara's mom would take us to the restaurant and then take us home. "Man I'll pick some of us up and the rest will meet at Sara's pad," Yesina said, sitting down on the couch watching TV. "Alright then you said it Yesi," we all replied right back. "Be at Sara's house by six!" I said.

So that day came and we told Sara about her surprise birthday dinner. We were going to "B.J.'s", her favorite restaurant. Alyssa, Sara and I went to Sara's house right after school. Six came b y and Yesina and the other girls still weren't there. We called her over and over and she yelled, "You told me at seven!" "Six we said six!", I relied back being as loud as she was. She hung up and got to Sara's house five minutes later.

At the restaurant everything was good we all joked around and had fun by making fun of each other. We ate until we couldn't take a full breath of air. Finally decided to go home to go cut the cake and see what her gifts were. It was 10 o'clock and Yesina kept on insisting and complaining to leave, "Come on let's go, let's go you guys!" "Ok, ok," we all said back. She offered to take us home, all agreed so we jump in the car and she sped-off , literally leaving tire marks.

"Slow down!", we yelled as she made a sharp turn through Downey Ave. "Naw, I'm going at a safe speed," she laughed, "I'm only going 45." "Yea 45 on a 25," I snapped. So we asked what the hurry was since she didn't have to be home for another 2 hours, " Ok see I met this guy, he's so fine I can't lag it, I promised him I would see him tonight." "So you rather die than slow down?", Annette said back. I turned and noticed Alyssa shaking, see she's traumatized, she got into a car accident with a driver that was speeding and driving recklessly.
