Gatsby

Im going to talk about the characters of the book. In the book there are just 7 main characters. so first we have Nick Carraway. He tells us the story , so we see it through his eyes. He is a young boy who went to NY for his work. He works in wallstreet. He also has a nice little house in the west egg . this is an island where the new rich people live. he is the cousin of Daisy. And he lives next to a huge mansion where Gatsby lives. He is known to help everyone and people can trust him. He is always in the middle of others people problems so he is a bit of lonely sometimes.

The second character is the title character. And that is jay Gatsby So like you already know he is the neighbor of Nick. He is a very mysterious man and no one really know something about him, there are all different story’s about him. he also lives in west egg and has a really huge mansion. He likes to give giant party’s where the whole city can come to. After Nick gets to know Gatsby better he gets to know that he still is in love with his cousin Daisy and all the party’s he gave where because he hopes daisy would come to one! He really does everything for her. Later he sees daisy again and they fall in love again. We also get to know that he first works for the army and he wasn’t that rich. He earned that amount of money by dealing alcohol. At the end of the book he gets shot by George.

The next person is daisy Buchanan or the golden girl. Like you already know she is the cousin of nick and gatsby’s lover. But she is married with another man , tom. This relation was to hide her pain she felt because of Gatsby. She is born in  a rich family and lives in east egg in a nice mainson. Her house is right in front of gatsby’s house. In the story she fall back in love with Gatsby.

Then tom Buchanan , the powerfull man of daisy. he is an arrogant type , he shows that he is rich and is not kind to everyone. He also cheats on daisy and has an unknown relation with myrtle Wilson.
