In this case, Drummond is trying to establish that man has the right to think and that sections of the Bible should not be taken literally as people like Brady do. He starts by asking Brady how did people create if sex is the way needed to be conceived. He then proceeds to ask the question concerning the Biblical evaluation of sex to get Brady confused since sex was regarded as an original sin, it could not have been a way for life. If the people of the bible were holy then how could they have sex and create sin.

Brady fails to answer which shows that some Christians fail to expose themselves to the need of critically understanding the Bible since they perceive that through criticizing the Bible they may fail to have sufficient faith. In addition, it can also be seen that this lack of open mindedness is contributed by the lack of exposure to other literature for instance Brady considers himself an authority of the Bible even though he hasn’t read any of Darwin’s work. Therefore, his argument towards God and the contents of the Bible appears to be one sided since there appears to be lack of sufficient conviction of his beliefs due to the lack of application of reason in interpreting the contents of the Bible. Drummond shows that some people do accept the sovereignty of God but are incapable of accepting that the concept of God though existent is relevant in all contexts and the Bible is just one of the contexts but not the only one.
