How Managers Delegate

Delegation Skills

Delegation is when managers, leaders or supervisors give responsibility and authority to subordinates to complete a task, and let the subordinates, team, or employees figure how the task can be accomplished. An effective manager will maintain open lines of communication, if they are not satisfied with the progress the team is making they will provide guidance not take the project back and reassign it to someone else.
