Feedback and redressal: Feedback system in any organization fosters the inclusive culture and helps in individual improvement. In the context of IIMU, feedback plays a crucial role as it is both faculty and student driven organization. The feedbacks and the ratings provided to the faculty are open for entire management in public domain. Complete transparency and equality is maintained in the process. However, the redressal mechanism process for faculty is not yet codified, and the staff grievance cell is planned in next few months.

There is no formal feedback mechanism at the organizational level. The department follows an open-feedback approach, wherein any member of the IIMU community can either mail their feedback to CAO or approach the CAO in person. Once a feedback is received, a meeting is called in the admin department and idea is presented to the team members. The team discusses the idea and concluded meeting with a plan of action. After the action plan is finalized by admin team, an approval of designated authority is obtained. If execution requires any financial support, CAO approaches BOG for approval of funds, otherwise, the action plan is discussed internally with IIMU’s Director and execution is initiated. On initiating the execution CAO informs the entire IIMU community of the upcoming developments through e-mails. The similar approach is followed for approval and communication process of new initiatives by admin department. Students provide feedback to the respective course and faculty on course completion. There is a lack of continuous feedback system which is necessary to align students to the course objectives. Instead of collecting feedback at the end of the course, if there is a system in place such that students can actively share their feedback and course expectations at the earliest, it helps them to get most out of the course. Also, there is no feedback system between admin department and students. Mere collection of feedback between any two departments will not do any good and there should be a feedback acknowledgment and proper action plan to mitigate the shortcomings.
