Marketing Environmental Factors

FedEx Corp is the world's biggest express transportation company. They generate over $20 billion in annual revenue. FedEx Corp is the largest provider of e-commerce and supply chain management. The company offers business solutions through a network of subsidiaries that operate independently. These businesses are FedEx Express, the worlds biggest express transportation company; FedEx Ground, Americas second biggest provider of small package delivery; FedEx Freight, a regional provider of truck load deliveries; FedEx Customer Critical, worlds biggest expedited delivery service, and FedEx Trade Networks; which provides brokerage, consulting, and trade services. FedEx Corp also works closely in improving changes to the environment. Working to better the environment, FedEx Corp has teamed up with the Alliance for Environmental Innovation group (AEI). AEI works with businesses such as FedEx Corp to improve the quality of our environment. Currently AEI is in the process, with three other competing organizations (Eaton Corporation, General Motors, and BAE SYSTEMS), to design a delivery truck that's environmentally safe.

AEI is dedicated to the defense of the environment. The organization works with companies to limit waist and come up with environmental business decisions. AEI believes that by combining environmental scientists with economists, the two can work together and make sound ethical business decisions that are correct for our planet.

AEI and FedEx Corp, along with other companies, will create a prototype delivery truck that will reduce emissions by 90% and increase fuel efficiency by 50%. This project will ultimately call for an economically, cleaner, fuel efficient truck. The delivery truck will reduce pollution, produce environmental improvements to the current delivery trucks, and FedEx Corp will market the truck before environmental regulations makes these trucks mandatory for all companies to use.
