Human Resource Management Overview

        Human resource management is the process of hiring and developing employees so that they become more valuable to the organization. Human Resource Management includes conducting job analysis, planning personnel needs, recruiting the right people for the job, orienting and training, managing wages and salaries, providing benefits and incentives, evaluating performance, resolving disputes, and communicating with all employees at all levels. Examples of core qualities of HR management are extensive knowledge of the industry, leadership, and effective negotiation skills. Formerly called personnel management. Job Analysis is used to show the similarity of employment procedures used by the employer. Planning personnel needs begins with identifying whom you need and how much effort they have to invest. When recruiting people you want to make sure the can perform hat the employer requires. Orientation and training helps make sure the person that was hired can fulfill their duties. Payroll is a major part for human resource; speaking from experience keep up with employee’s paycheck is very stressful. Providing benefits for employees and making sure, you stay on top of the benefits being turned in on time along with incentives.

Incentives can be very important to the employee’s but giving them something to show a job well done. Evaluating the performance of employee helps them to grow. Its shows the employee what the need improvement on and at the same time shoes them what they have mastered. If there is an issue, an employee has, they can sit done and talk to human resources to see what steps to fix the issue. Human resource department speaks to everyone that a company has hired from part-time employees to full-time, and management. The human resource department has to know the company in and out in order to help things run smoothly. They also have to have some knowledge of the industry as well as competition. Without a human resource department, a company may have a hard time running its employee’s and that leads to no customers. Without customers, a company will fail. Every company needs to have people that can keep their business up and running.

The same to other department managers, a human resource manager has two simple functions: overseeing department functions and managing employees. For this reason, a human resources manager must be well knowledgeable in each of the human resources corrections compensation and benefits, training and development, employee relations, and recruitment and selection. Main competencies HR managers have are hard communication skills and decision-making capabilities based on analytical skills and serious thought processes. Human resource managers have planned and efficient responsibilities for all of the HR penalties. A human resource manager has the knowledge of an HR generalist joined with general business and management skills. In smaller companies, some HR managers perform all of the department's functions or work with an HR assistant or generalist that handles administrative matters. Regardless of the size of department or the company, a human resource manager should have the skills to perform every HR function, if necessary.
