William Shakespeare’s Romeo and Juliet, plays out an act of love and trouble that tags along in and throughout its story. As Romeo is deeply in love, he has trouble thinking of anyone else, at least that is the story until he attends the Capulet banquet and lays his eyes upon such a beauty as Juliet. Thus is born a new love; from the first sight of Juliet, all is ridden from his mind, including Rosaline since Juliet has, “Beauty too rich for use, for earth too dear!...Did my heart love till now? Forswear it, sight! For I ne’er saw true beauty till this night” (1.5.20). The two quickly exchange a kiss and depart, leaving each other appalled by the other. It seems that love at first sight was nothing short of a miracle for Romeo and Juliet.

In life there are people who fall in and out of what they believe is love; however, there are also some who fall so deeply in love at the very first glance of that certain someone who completes the other only by returning the glimpse. Love at first sight has been described as impossible and ridiculous, and yet it happens everyday. In the movies one actor falls for another for a happily ever after and television shows crazy teenagers falling for their first and last time. Then there are real life experiences that take one’s breath away when hearing about how one fell for another, and ever since it’s been a fairytale fit for Hollywood movies.

I have a best friend, Tim Daly, who has been a true friend for a good three years now. Through thick and thin we have been there for each other sine the day we met. That day was a truly beautiful moment for a girl like me. It was my first day in my new school, and my first day as a seventh grader. I was taken in by a girl named Charlene who showed me around and shared a band class with me. We both played the flute and so as we tuned up for class she began to point and laugh. I looked over and saw a young man a few seats and a row back from me who was holding a small rubber cow that he quickly threw into his mouth and pretended to eat as if it was totally normal. As I kept looking back at him throughout the class, using Charlene as a good excuse to stare, I realized that I had quickly but surely
