Conceptual Framework

Juan’s Adventure is a mobile question and answer game. It has a main character named Juan DelaCruz. Juan is a Filipino adventurer who has been lost in the Northern part of Luzon. He has only the map of the Philippines to guide him back to his hometown. Now he must answer all the questions to reach his hometown that is located in Mindanao. As he travels across the islands and seas, he will discover the rich history and information regarding the Philippines.

The procedure of the game is to answer all the questions so that Juan can go back to his homeland in Mindanao. There are three (3) stages (Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao) and each stage has 30 questions. The questions and the four (4) choices are randomly shown to the player each stage. The game has 3 hints for each stage. The hints can be used to help the player answer the question. If the player did not use of all of his/her hints, it will be added to his previous hints. For every hint, 1 choice will be removed from the choices for the player to answer the question easily. If the player answers the question correctly, s/he will move to another place and if not, s/he will be stuck on that particular question. The path where Juan will advance until he reaches his hometown is fixed. For every five (5) consecutive correct answer, one (1) hint will be added to his previous hints. And it can be used for the next question or stages. There will be a short trivia for every finished stage completed by the player. The trivia will refer to the values the Filipino is known for.
