Autobiography

1. Family Background

My name is YANG, FU-SHOU. I was born in 1978 in Kaohsiung, a simple, beautiful place. I was raised in a poor family, and often had to do extra part-time work to support myself. Out of the poverty did I develop my diligence and thrift qualities. Other family members include my father, mother, eldest younger sister, who works at HanStar Display Corporation, second eldest and youngest sisters, who both work for ProMOS Technologies Inc.

2. School Days

As the son of a poor family, I have never given up my dreams. I always encourage myself with a remark of Carly Fiorina, former HP president:” Never, never, never give up.” Since I was in high school, I have learned how to manage my own emotion and properly arrange my time for work and study, trying to strike a balance between economic pressure and dreams for the future, all the way through to my graduation from university. At that time of receiving education, I had had good grades and a close relation with many of my classmates.

3. Association

I actively took part in various activities and competitions when I was off from class. I even led a team for a freshmen’s debate contest, in which we won the second place and awarded “Invincible Debaters”. I also won a prize in a 5000-meter road race. In addition, I helped organize a student association, and acted as head of Activity Group. From managing the association affairs, I realized how important teamwork was and gained two different management experiencesвЂ"one is establishment of operating mode of the association, and the other is deeper understanding for activity planning, everyday trivial management, and personnel leadership.

4. Work Experiences

4-1 Duration of junior college, university, and military service

I love teamwork, so I took part in group activities in an active manner during my junior college years. In the summer vacation of 1994, I was recommended by my school to work as an intern for the International Commercial Bank of China (now Mega International Commercial Bank). During my internship, I learned about the Bank’s operating procedures, and presented some constructive proposals. I was later selected as a model intern. I found from my work the importance of independent learning and got to know how to turn experience of others into one of my own. I spent my time off from work completing my university programs. During the period, I was elected as class leader. I had kept friendly relations with my classmates, from whom I learned about current situations of various industries that had contributed to my macroscopic views on the industries. During my military service, I learned how to react with my comrades. I arranged a self-study program at regular hour each day, and applied my knowledge about management to practically leading a troop. I was appointed as awarded representative of outstanding obligatory soldiers.

4-2 Joining Chinatrust Commercial Bank--Telemarketing (2000.06~2002.03)

After I discharged from the army in June 2000, followed by a keen employment competition and a careful perspective on the industry, I decided to join Chinatrust Commercial Bank, where I worked in the Telemarketing Department. During my service, I responsibly took initiative in taking tasks. Valued by my superior, I was elevated from a specialist to the position of group leader. I took charge of promotion of credit cards, with marked sales results and high profits.
