Uss Main

The U.S.S. Main is a battleship that was mysteriously exploded in Havana harbor on February 15, 1898. There were many young and old men that were on the ship at this time that lost there lives there were about 266 men that lost there lives on February 15, 1898. There were 350 officers on board at the time and there were 252 that were either dead or missing. They have yet to find out what really happened to the U.S.S. Main. Some would say that it was indeed the Spanish but some would say that it is the ship I don't know what the truth is but I do know that there may have been something wrong with the ship. Now they know that the ship was indeed blown up or you could say was exploded but they have know idea as to where the explosion came from. Weather it came from one of the sides of the ship, the front, or the back. On top or from underneath. It may very well be that it was the Spanish but they have very little information that would lead them to that theory if any information at all. Those assuming that it was the Spanish well that led to the Spanish American war, April 19, congress declared war with Spain.

you may know that they have never really came to the hole conclusion about the main and how it was blown up. you may have heard that was caused by the spanish or something in the ship caused it to explode all of a sudden. now before any of the exploding and all of the blaming took part the americans anfd the spanish were in an argument. which was about the freedom movement. now the americans wanted to have freedom over there own country and not only that but also because they felt that there were many spanish officals that seemed to be mean ang cruel twards the americans and they didn't

like that. now the word got out to the prees or the news paper i guess you could say and there was much caoss that broke loose in every news paper in cuba. the american news papers were fighting each other for readers.
