The U.S. Constitution

"We the People of the United States, in order to from a more perfect Union, establish Justice, insure domestic Tranquility, provide for the common defense, promote the general Welfare, and secure the Blessing of Liberty, to ourselves, and our Posterity, do ordain and establish this Constitution of the United States of America." In 1787 our founding fathers set forth on a journey that would certainly change the course of history throughout the world. They embarked on a journey to establish their own government, and break away from the king and the rest of England. From these brave and fearless founding fathers we are given the Constitution of the United States of America. The Constitution of the United Sates is a series of laws set up to protect the people from the government, but not to protect the government from the people. It spells out the limitations of the federal government, and protects the natural rights of the citizens. From the constitution, we are given the Bill of Rights, which, are the first ten amendments to the constitution. In them we are given inalienable rights, which are endowed by our creator; therefore, none can that them away. Many of these men committed treason in order for us to have the rights such as: free speech, free religion, the right to bear arms, the right to a militia, the protection against unreasonable searches and seizures, the right to a trial by a jury of our peers, the right to due process and equal protection, and so many more. We must work as hard and as diligently as they did in order to maintain the constitution which was divinely inspired for out benefit.
