The Columbian Exchange was a trade that arose at the beginning of the interdependent relationship between America, Europe, and Africa. This trade exchanged plants, animals, foods, diseases, ideas, and people. In 1492, Christopher Columbus activated one of the most important expeditions in world history. Christopher Columbus discovered America by fault, and this fault became the beginning of American history. The interaction between the Europeans and Native Americans transformed America from an unknown land to become one of the absolute world power. Native American tribes in the Americas were exposed to the rest of the world. The Columbian Exchange negatively impacted and was baneful to the Native Americans. Throughout the time frame of the Columbian Exchange, the Native Americans lost their people, culture, and land. The Native Americans lack of acumen condoned the Columbian Exchange to abate the fate of the people.

In the 16th century, the Europeans began the Columbian Exchange. The trade originally had a positive opportunity for the Native Americans to learn from the Europeans. During the interaction between the Native Americans and the Europeans, the exposure of diseases such as smallpox, yellow fever, and malaria-infected and caused 90% Native American deaths. The diseases were a major cause of the friction between Europeans and Native Americans. The devastating deaths caused Europeans caused Native Americans to affect the Europeans with syllepsis. This issue was unrestorable on the Native population.

The land of the Native Americans was taken from them by the Spanish conquistadors. One of Spain’s well-known conquistador Cortes conquered Mexico and defeated the Aztecs’ land. The Spanish had advanced tactics and weapons which forsaken the Native Americans leaving their civilization broken from they're lost of people, culture, and land. The Europeans first began exploration to find riches throughout America, but the situation elevated into not only riches. The land of the Native Americans was taken away from them, and this was caused by the Columbian Exchange because the exchange brought more explorers to America.
