Sacco and Vanzetti Innocence Argument

Sacco and Vanzetti were Italian immigrants that lived in America and affiliated with a gang in South Braintree, Massachusetts. One night, there was a murder and Sacco and Vanzetti were discovered near the location, therefore making them top suspects in the case and shortly after, they were arrested. The following evidence creates an extremely simple argument as to why Sacco and Vanzetti are innocent. The first evidence was after the arrests were made there were over ten eyewitnesses that said they saw two men that resembled Sacco and Vanzetti, none of them could directly identify them and the witnesses never were required to have a line-up. Without a legitimate identification through a line-up creates a mistrial and the case would have to have more hard evidence to accuse Sacco and Vanzetti of commiting the crime. Another piece of evidence was the bullet ballistics, there were 9 bullets recovered from the crime scene and only one of those bullets were capable of being fired from Sacco’s firearm. This makes it almost impossible to convict both Sacco or Vanzetti of shooting the man. The last evidence to argue that the two were innocent is that the police recovered a hat at the scene of the crime. Sacco and Vanzetti both denied ever owing the cap, or any cap with earlaps. They both tried the cap on before the jury and claimed that it did not fit. This is more information that the trial attempted to force into Sacco and Vanzetti, but again did not work as any hard evidence to convict that they were the murders.
