Little Rock Nine

On September 3rd the nine students were looking looking forward to a successful year attending Central High School. when they got to the school on the first day It was a large mob of white parents, student, and citizens standing outside the school to stop the nine black children for entering. Governor Orval Faubus had arranged for the National Guard to surround the school for the beginning of the new school year. The Governor had used the National Guard to surround the school to prevent the nine students from entering to prevent and avert all of the violence and the white mobs. After that the television had spread the images of the ensuing mob violence to all around the world. On September 20th, Judge Ronald Davies rules that Governor Orval Faubus was not using the National Guard to protect the law and he ordered the Guard to be removed from the school. On September 24th The President “Dwight D. Eisenhower had made an address on Little Rock Arkansas.(footnote) He announced it on the radio and on television. Eisenhower became the first president to send troops to protects the rights of an African American person. On september 23rd the nine students entered central High School through the side door with assistance from the police.(footnote, from the book) While they were inside the school a huge mob surrounded the school and were waiting for the children to arrive. When they found out that the nine children were already inside the school they started to overpower the police. After that allot of Violence had occurred. Two black reported were harassed and chased out of the area, windows were shattered and doors were broken; it was just horrible. During their lunch the nine african American students were called to the office, They were told that they were being sent home due to the violence and the mob outside the school.
