Question: Describe an object that is important to you

My idiosyncratic Kipling backpack is gingerly folded and stored inside of my closet. Cramped on a shelf next to a box of old books and forgotten items, lies this wondrous piece of fabric. My backpack, like me, would prefer to be elsewhere.

Gloomy Nassau is no environment for such an active pack such as mines. There, the pack's buoyant night black splashed with a contrast of light grey colors seems lost in a shadow. On vacations, it is my passenger; I take my pack to and from destinations with me. Holding up to fifty pounds and more, my thick black burden remains stylish and slim even with multifarious amounts of gear.

During winter vacations , I usually attend skiing trips with my family in Washington. Stuffed with everything from winter gear to a waffle irons, my backpack advocates in shielding me from the shivering cold and snow dripped by evergreens. My pack would never dare miss a downhill ski trip in the mountains. I always retire it to my hotel room to unwind by the fire, because it's too cumbersome for a ski lift. It leans lazily up against a frosty window undoubtedly watching me while I pursue a game of "snowball fighting" with my relatives.

Summer vacations is definitely our favorite part of the year: little confinement, new camping journeys with different obstacles and every weekend off. My backpack approves when loaded for another journey . If I face any challenging obstacles my backpack is my supporter as it listens patiently while I rant and motivates me as I conquer them. On vacations like these I envy my backpack because while it observes our surroundings to assure my safety it gets to sit outdoors all throughout the night and bask the scenery, while I breathe rapidly at the bottom of my tent trying to survive. After one strenuous journeys to the next my pack stands through all conditions with great fortitude being why I love it so.
