Paragraphs, stories, essays and sentences should always have a unity. The unity is very important because it describes us what the author or writer is trying to tell us in a more specific way. The selections "Are Families Dangerous?" and "A Generation of Bigots Comes of Age" shows some unity in each paragraph, but some of them show more unity than others. The amount of unity shown on each paragraph and selection varies, for example, the selection first mentioned is missing a great amount of unity, but on the other hand the second selection shows more unity. The first one talks about many sub- titles that make the selection less unified. These selections talks about the way society looks at the concept of family, it talks about the way the integrants of each family accepts other integrants for what they are and what they can do. It also explains us other aspects of the family that aren't so positive, for example, the way that women are being abused or treated in an aggressive way. It also explains that children are being also abused inside the family circle bye their own parents. Even in houses were the integrants of a family don't like violence you can see aggression with their gestures and looks, this may cause hatred, rivalry and even shame. During the course of history has been "anti- family" thoughts, some people even thought that families created barriers to human progress. They conclude this selection telling us that every family has their own problems and from time to time may need moral guidance and professional help to work as productively as they should.

The second selection is more unified than the first one and is a lot easier to understand. It explains us that there is a generation more racist than others. It says that people with more education are more tolerant than those who didn't have this opportunity that are the elders. This generation that didn't have a proper education are more likely to be considered racists because of that they saw that was happening on their youth. This new generation doesn't pay that much attention to what happened on their history that's way they can be considered lees
